The University of New Brunswick Ironmen Rugby Football Club is a storied one. As the oldest running sports team at the school, we have been around for 137 years.

UNB Rugby fields a 1st and 2nd side in the Maritime University Leagues. Everyone is welcomed to play. No experience necessary.

UNB Rugby has won the Maritime University League Champtionship 11 out of the past 14 years. In recent years, with the creation of the Men’s University National Championship, UNB has attended the last two nationals in Vancouver and Montreal, repectively.

One of our most recent personal successes is UNB Alum Billy Hornady who was picked up for Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride program in 2019 after his performances at the University Nationals in Montreal.

UNB Rugby boasts a very large, active, and dedicated alumni group who have grown the program to where it is today and continue to support the team on and off the field.
